PROJECT CONSULTATION AGREEMENT

              

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Thank you for your interest in our Project Consultation. Planning before design will help optimize the value of your project, reduce risk, and save you time, money, and frustration – it’s the first step we require for all our clients.  We’ll analyze the relevant regulations, and help you clarify your needs and goals so you can undertake your project with greater clarity and confidence.  It’s also a chance to work with us on a low-commitment basis while gaining valuable insight into your project, and to determine if we’re a good mutual fit for the larger endeavor of design and construction. 

 

Our Project Consultation process is described below.  Once you've scheduled your site visit, you will receive Part 1 of the questionnaire to fill out and return to us before the date of your consultation. 

 

The Site Visit

We personally visit your project site to understand the existing conditions.  During the visit, we typically take photographs, a few general measurements, observe any significant site features and discuss your project goals for insight specific to you and your property.  Our detailed questionnaire, Part 2, captures the needs and wishes of your family regarding your new home and the life you wish to lead in it.  Part 2 of the questionnaire helps us with understanding your intentions and goals for the project.  We will also discuss any survey or plat you have for the property. Toward the end of our visit, we'll discuss the next steps in our process and how we structure our architectural services.

 

The Report

We compile all the information gathered during the Site Visit and your questionnaire to establish your project's Scope of Work, an estimated project budget including design fees, and a design timeline.  This report will also identify any constraints or opportunities for your project.

The Strategy Meeting

Either via a virtual meeting or in-person at our office, we will discuss any questions you have about the report and your options for next steps. 

 

INVESTMENT

The investment to complete the Project Consultation is $ 3,250.00.

This fee will be credited toward the full project fee if you decide to continue working with us and an Architectural Services Agreement is signed within 30 days of completion of the Consultation.

 ​

TIME FOR COMPLETION

Approximately 2 weeks after the site visit.  

 

PAYMENT TERMS

The fees for the Project Consultation are due upon engagement, prior to scheduled site visit.

The fee is non-refundable, but your appointment can be rescheduled, under certain circumstances, within six weeks of your original appointment.

 

ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL

The aforementioned Description of Services, Time for Completion and  attached

Terms and Conditions are hereby accepted as the Agreement between Client and Architect.  The Architect is authorized to proceed as specified.  Payments will be made as indicated above.
